Jeff smiled, making his way to the door as he helped the small brunette inside. "That the new arrival?" the tiny woman asked, pointing to Adam. Jeff nodded.

Jay smiled and nodded "This is Addy." he said before looking at Adam "This is Sammy, she'll take really good care of you she took care of me when Jeffy brought me home."

Samantha smiled and nealt down in front of the blonde. "It's nice to mean you darlin," Samantha drawled gently. "I promise I won't hurt you," she said. "If you get uncomfortable or anything and want me to stop I will," she told him. "I'm a pet too y'know," she said, rolling down the front of her turtleneck to reveal the black lace collar she wore. Her mistress' initials "ACD" where stitched in red on the back of it. "I know what it's like to be where you are."

Adam slowly moved closer to Jeff.

Samantha smiled. "Okay Adam, whatever you want," Samantha said. Jeff smiled and took Adam's hand. "I'm gonna be right here with you Addy."

The brunette nodded. "Well, I'm gonna get some basic vitals on you, then I'll take a look, alright?" Samantha asked, she kept her voice gentle, almost as though she were dealing with a child. She didn't want to startle Adam.

Jeff carefully pulled the hair tie he had put in Adam's hair away from the bit of hair it was still holding. Most of Adam's hair had fallen loose as he slept. Jeff gently stroked Adam's hair as Samantha dug through her bag.

Adam relaxed at the gentle touch.

Jeff smiled. "That's it Addy, just relax." Samantha opted to go with an ear thermometer reading on Adam, she figured it was the easiest way to get the reading without startling the blonde. She placed the small cover over the tip before approaching Adam again. Jeff carefully tucked a bit of Adam's hair behind his ear to allow Samantha to get the proper reading.

Adam sat still for her and waited for the beep.

Jeff smiled. "You're doing great Addy," Jeff said gently. "I'm proud of you." Jeff knew it was simple, gentle words like these that Adam needed right now. No matter how small the accomplishment was, it was an accomplishment none the less and Jeff would be proud of Adam for it, and he would tell him so.
