Jeff groaned when he heard his father arguing with his sixteen year old brother. Matt was sick again and as per usual he was being stubborn as a mule. "Dad, lemme deal with him," Jeff said softly, listening to his father grumble as he walked away. "Matt....." Jeff sighed softly.

Matt sighed and asked "What?"

Jeff gave Matt a gentle smile. Matt would be expecting him to argue, but he wasn't gonna do that. "Being stubborn again?"

Jeff shook his head and sat down on the edge of Matt's bed. "You're just like daddy Matt, you've been stubborn since the day you were born."

"I'm not a stubborn mule like him." Matt grumbled as he curled up.

Matt rolled his eyes "You don't need to check every five minutes Jeff."

Matt sighed but opened his mouth so Jeff could put the thermometer in his mouth.

Jeff gave a gentle smile and placed the thermometer in Matt's mouth. It was moments like these he was glad he got his mother's gentle nature.

Jeff ran his fingers through Matt's hair, just trying to keep him calm. Taking the thermometer when it beeped.

Matt closed his eyes at the gentle touch before looking at Jeff as he took the thermometer.

Matt slept for a few hours before waking up feeling nauseous, Matt groaned as he tried to sit up but he only was able to move a few inchs before throwing up.

Jeff heard the noise and quickly got up to go check on his brother. He move quickly to pull the pale, raven haired Hardy from the soiled blankets and into his arms. This wasn't the first time he'd had to clean Matt up after an incident like this, and it probably wouldn't be the last. "It's alright Mattie," Jeff murmured gently, carrying Matt toward the bathroom.
