Phil nodded slowly.
Mark sighed, he could see how bad this was killing Phil. Cora was his only child and Phil had waited so long.

Phil bit his lip and looked at John pleddingly.

John nelt down next to the bed and took his daughter's hand. "Cora sweetie, I know you're scared, and I know it hurts, but me and daddy are right here with you, and we need you to be a big girl for us, okay?" Cora glanced between her parents. "Me try...." said Cora softly.

John smiled. "That's my princess," he said, squeezing her hand gently. "We're all here sweetie, we're not gonna leave you." Cora nodded slowly, turning to face Matt, her favorite of her "uncles." "Uncle Mattie stay too?"
